Jewish Holidays & Shabbat Times ("the App") is designed with your privacy as a priority. The App does not collect, store, or share any personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
The App does not collect any personal data. There are no user accounts, no registration, no login, and no personal information of any kind is requested or stored.
The App requests access to your device's location solely for the purpose of calculating accurate Shabbat candle lighting times, Havdalah times, and zmanim (halachic times of day). Location data is:
You may deny location access at any time through your device's Settings. Without location access, Shabbat times and zmanim features will not function, but all other features of the App will remain fully operational.
The App uses the Hebcal API (hebcal.com) to retrieve supplementary calendar data and time calculations. When this service is used, your location coordinates (latitude and longitude) are sent to the Hebcal API to compute accurate times. No other personal information is transmitted. Please refer to the Hebcal privacy policy for details on how they handle data.
The App may send push notifications to remind you of upcoming Shabbat times and holidays. These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device. No remote push notification server is involved. No notification data is transmitted externally. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
The App does not use any analytics frameworks, tracking tools, or telemetry services. No usage data is collected or transmitted.
The App contains no advertisements of any kind. No advertising SDKs or frameworks are included.
The App does not share any data with third parties. There is no data to share, as no personal data is collected.
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users. The App is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content.
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be made available within the App and on the App Store listing. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated accordingly.
