Privacy Policy

Effective: 1 May 2026

Data Not Collected

This privacy policy describes how the Counting of Omer iOS application ("the app") handles user information. The app is published by Jiri Landovsky as an individual developer.

1. Summary

The app does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. It works entirely offline. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that gather information about you.

2. What stays on your device

A small number of preferences are saved locally on your device using the standard iOS UserDefaults system. These never leave your device:

If you delete the app, these preferences are removed by iOS along with it.

3. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the app schedules local notifications on your device for the upcoming Counting of Omer days. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely by iOS. They are not sent from any server. The app does not use Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and does not transmit a device token anywhere.

4. No network requests

The app makes no network requests of any kind. All content (the 49 days, the glossary, all texts and images) is bundled in the app and read locally. There are no analytics calls, no remote configuration calls, and no error reporting calls.

5. Children's privacy

The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no information whatsoever, it does not knowingly or unknowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

6. Third parties

The app contains no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising libraries, or attribution frameworks. The fonts used (Cormorant Garamond, Playfair Display, Hind) are open-source and bundled inside the app — they are not loaded from a network.

7. Your rights

Because no personal data is collected or stored off-device, there is nothing to access, correct, export, or delete on a server. You retain full control of all locally-saved preferences through the app's Settings tab and through iOS Settings → Counting of Omer.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes its data practices, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change. Any future change will only ever reduce what the app does — there is no plan to introduce data collection.
